Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is therapy, and how can it help me?
Therapy is a collaborative process where you work with a licensed professional to address emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges. It can help you gain insight, develop coping skills, and improve your overall well-being by creating a safe space to explore your feelings and goals.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be beneficial for anyone experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or major life transitions. If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or need support in managing challenges, therapy may be a good fit for you.

What can I expect during my first session?
During the first session, we’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may have. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of how we can work together.

How long does therapy usually take?
The length of therapy varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some people find a few sessions helpful for specific concerns, while others benefit from longer-term support.

Is everything we discuss confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. What you share in sessions will remain private, with a few exceptions required by law, such as threats of harm to yourself or others, or cases of abuse.

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
I offer virtual sessions. In-person sessions will be offered soon in select cities to accommodate your preferences and needs. Virtual sessions are conducted through secure and confidential platforms.

What types of therapy do you use?
I use a client-centered approach, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and solution-focused strategies. Each treatment plan is tailored to your unique situation.

Can you help with issues like stress, anxiety, or low self-esteem?
Absolutely. I specialize in working with clients to manage stress, reduce anxiety, build self-esteem, and address a range of emotional and behavioral challenges. Together, we’ll identify strategies to help you feel more confident and in control.

How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule online by clicking on Schedule a Session.

Do you accept insurance or offer sliding scale fees?
Please click on In-Network Plans to view a list of plans I currently accept. New plans are added frequently. I offer sliding scale fees for clients who qualify. Please reach out to discuss payment options and find a solution that works for you.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows me to offer the time to someone else in need.
